Error loading AWEAlloc driver: Access is denied.

bug error help awealloc

Best Answer Olof Lagerkvist , 27 May 2013 - 11:09 AM

It looks like AWEAlloc is not set to automatically start, for some reason. Either I missed something in the setup package which caused it to not set the correct configuration, or there could have been some upgrade issues which cause the configuration to not be changed correctly.

I will look things over and make sure it is correct for next version.

To solve your problem now, open an elevated command prompt and type:

sc config awealloc start= auto

net start awealloc

I am currently getting an error when trying to mount or create a 500MB disk image into physical memory.
The programme has no problem mounting the image into virtual memory, nor does it have a problem just mounting as a virtual drive.
As far as I can tell, this works fine in windows 7, but since I have recently migrated to windows 8, I have been having this problem.

Windows 8 pro 64bit
ImDisk version: 1.7.2
AMD FX-8350
RAM: 8GB  - 4.8GB available at time of testing.
