Adding WIMBoot capability to a previously captured Volume-image.

  • select a custom wimbootcompress.ini (Wimlib-clc archive)

  • press [UPDATE] to start the process.

Attached File  Zwischenablage02.jpg   193.74KB   0 downloads

This is making this specific image WIMBoot-compatible.

Note: does not apply to images from Windows disc. (install.wim)

Mark this image WIMBoot-compatible.

  • go to [Info Tab]

  • right click on [Set / Change Property] of desired image.

  • type „WIMBOOT=1“ to appearing inputfield and press [OK].

Attached File  Zwischenablage06.jpg   262.67KB   1 downloads

  • check result.

Attached File  Zwischenablage07.jpg   192.64KB   1 downloads

  • when applying this specified image with „--wimboot“ switch set only files from [PrepopulateList] are extracted full size while all others are only extracted as „Pointer-files“, which reduces disk space consumption significantly.
