What do you think about this: https://wiki.mozilla...rity/Events/CTF
Also, we need more members. We have plenty of busy members these days (*cough* including me *cough* ). We should open the recruitments

I've already shared my views on the other thread you have started. See my friend, I "wasted" (yes, NOT "spent") a bulk amount of time in OpenVPN forum to learn configuring OpenVPN, had long chain of mails with zNick, RuCTFe network master & finally configured the VPN successfully. I started a thread in the board, posted the screenshot, but can you please go back & see how many replies were there? Is any of the members following our initial plan of publishing challenges? Even after KoBE developing so nice a platform, I really doubt whether it will be utilized or not. You know florin, I had a talk with jiva, the lead of "disekt". He told me that they are six membered team. You can see how they perform in CTFs. So number of participants is not the key factor, it is what called "dedication" which matters at the end of the day. What do you think about this: .....

I won't be able to participate in any CTF by next February 12th. However, I hope I will be available thereafter. Please let me know in case of any other help is needed. I'm always interested in Team Reboot activities.

What kind of CTF challenges will they have? And would anyone still need to register because I just saw that registration is closed for this.

No problem. Actually florin wants new members from TLF & reboot. He has shared some info in the protected HQ forum. I will talk to him & make the thread public. We don't take part in CTF to win the contest, but to learn something out of it. If you want to, please do not hesitate. Forget bout how much you can contribute. Just focus on the entertainment & learning part.I might be interested in doing such challenges but quite frankly I am totally new to this sort of thing. I am the type that learns fairly quickly but I have so much going on it's easy for me to get sidetracked.
You don't need to register separately as florin has already got Team Reboot registered. What kind of CTF challenges will they have? And would anyone still need to register because I just saw that registration is closed for this.

I suggest to use the password protected IRC channel, I created back a while ago.
Xchat is a good IRC client (but it only works for 30-days on Windows,
while it is completely free on Linux).
Pidgin is a good alternative.
<credential removed, will be mailed accordingly>
Configure your IRC client to use SSL
Port 6697, 7000 or 7070 support SSL:
http://freenode.net/irc_servers.shtml
Just to add, I use Icechat, a freeware IRC client which has SSL support starting from 9.0
Some discussion is going on here also.

Ace, please share one of your personal mail ODs in PM with me. I need to add it to the group. KoBE has already been added.I may be able to get involved in this, We'll see, i'm getting a new job possibly so hopefully he doesn't phone and ask me in for the interview tomorrow. But otherwise i'm available, nothing else planned as far as I know.

Special thanks to,
florin91 for coordinating the CTF & shouldering all the responsibilities voluntarily.
Icecube for writing up a quick script to let us access the server log securely over Internet without physically touching the box.
Thanks to all members of team. I really feel proud to be apart of such a team. Mozilla CTF was a great enjoyment to me.

florin is still astonished that you solved that challenge. We didn't have any clue. Well done, friend. That was my first CTF event. I enjoyed it. Now that I have a better feel for it I am going to try begin learning more. Maybe next time I'll be worth more than 200pts
