It sounds like the partition crashed try using recuva (Free) to recover the lost partition.
I use an older program to recover called File Scavenger 3.2 but it's not free.
Note If the SSD has Damaged integrated circuit assemblies It Will not be able to Recover the Info.
Note: DO NOT Use the Drive to Start Windows/Copy data to, Until You recovered the Required Data.
If you Write any Data to the drive it may override the Data that you want and you will never see it again.

Forget about Recuva.
You want to attempt recover the filesystem at first try, NOT the files.
BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE you need to create an image of the device "as is".
Do you have an alternate way to boot that machine? (PE or Linux bootable DVD or USB stick?)
Do you have another device (hard disk ) on which you have enough space to store a RAW image of the SSD? (you will need a NTFS volume with something more than the size of the SSD + the approximate size of the files that you need to recover, i.e. 240 Gb + 20 Gb at least, better if you have 2*240 Gb free)
Are you familiar and/or have available a cmmand line or GUI dd-like/imaging tool?
Of course you can disregard the above (that is however what I consider the BARE MINIMUM to proceed safely) and just have a look at the SSD with a suitable tool, which in this case would be DMDE:
Try opening with it the \\PhysicalDrive :

and check if it can see (besides the 40 Gb partition) also some traces of the second (now disappeared) partition and report:

you will need some specific advice/instructions to proceed.
