Good question !
the PPoE script that I posted is just a completion of your previous script.
Unfortunately I've had no return and I do not have the hardware to test it.
Difficult to put it, or your new script, inside w7pese without test result.

I have posted my old plugin with a better [inteface] (copied from ChrisR PPPoE.script) and with other minor modifications.
My plugin is 360KB and ChrisR is 90KB. I am not able to explain the differences.

Can i understand your answer in that way, that this is another script, which does the exact same thing, just differently?

I don't know, probably ChrisR worked with a earlier version of the plugin, a shorter one.
You may use Beyond Compare to compare both files.

At least the size difference i can explain. Chris uses Reg files for the XWizard entries, while you let WinBuilder write the entries.
Unfortunately this isn't easy to compare.

Chris, your script seems to be a completely different beast.
It needs more user interaction to work, while Oscars makes PPoE right away usable.

Though the extra shortcuts are a nice touch. ;)

Yes, In fact, I used Reg files for the XWizard entries as in NetworkCenter script (faster when there are many lines of registry with also x64 part added).
I added 2 or 3 files missing, the addition of the registry for SENS, ShellHWDetection service, key for WINEVTChannels after testing DISM /Add-Package winpe-pppoe.cab from WAIK (only additions).
A little of code cleanup, change of Require_File by Require_FileQ (API significantly faster on a project), interface review.
Starting or shortcut to start PPPOE with a batch ConfigRAS.cmd rather than several input in autorun or postconfig section. I think easier to test, evolve, if needed.

I think only positive things, remaining faithful to your last oscar_pppoe_30Jan2011.script, and compared now also with the new version.
I have doing this work to eventually offer it in w7pese, after your agreement.
I do not have any feedback and I do not have the equipment to test it. We need tester.
It remains your work and your script :). Up to you.
Thanks

edit: here the capture file DISM /Add-Package winpe-pppoe.cab (x86/x64)
made with regshot 2.0.1.70 and dir /A:-D /B /S *.* >recursive_list.txt
Attached File  Trace_PPPOE.7z   7.19KB   512 downloads
