I have no need to have a ramdisk enabled all the time and I'm looking for a way, using a batch file or other means, to create one when I launch a program and remove it once that program exits.

And the question is?

Normally you install IMDISK and then use the command line tool to create (and delete) the Ramdisk, commonly used commands are in the FAQ:
http://reboot.pro/to...qs-and-how-tos/

The exact command depends on a number of factors, including if you want to start fresh, if you want to load an image, etc. etc.. review those first thing, then if you have doubts feel free to ask more targeted questions.

To read the IMDISK /? output (which is long) in a command prompt use:

imdisk /? 2>&1 | more

or create a .txt file that you can open with Notepad and similar with:

imdisk /? 2>imdiskhelp.txt
