Im looking forward to the time where its easy as a 1,2,3 step thing to convert a plugin to a script.

this easy as just 1,2 :P

just import the plugin then hit build button

You said you would include the WBzip.exe file in the download. I dont see it included

ok i lied :P
you should download WBzip.exe and place it inside the tools folder
then you can encode file's using file property

Well so far I wasnt able to do that because of the missing WBzip.exe file with the ditribution of PluginBuilder.

Hi

Do you find it usefull to add command to loadhive's for edit inside regedit ?

Note: Programs Node stands for %programfiles% when importing filemon, installwatch, installrite log files
so any file include this path "C:\Program Files" will automaticlly inserted in to Programs node

I do not understand completely what you mean.
Maybe you mean, what already is realized by the RegEditWB script (at the bottom 'Tools' in the projects)

So with this update should I be able to record an installed program and be able to create a Winbuilder script that gathers registry changes with what files where added.

I dont know how to answer that.
Maybe ask a developer that knows BartPE and WInbuilder script. They might be able to say, yes or no.
This question might also be asked in the 911 CD forum.

I was trying to test it by first pressing the Capture button and then Running the Installation Setup.exe but when I press the capture button it opens a folder up but it doesnt tell me what I need to point to. I was thinking it wanted an empty folder but that is not it. Then I tought what does a recording thing need an that was that it need to know what program your going to run so that it can capture the changes. That did the trick. I pointed to the exe file i wanted to install. The capture button doesnt tell you.

I picked the options to create only the script and save to disk option but I didnt see all the contents on the created folder.

I also noticed that there is an option under
Main - Root - Programs

In the new NativeEX Project and the LiveXP the folder that contains programs is named
PROGRAM FILES. The folder seems to be capitalized.

I dont undertand everything that is going on. So I just clicked on the Build button after the installation of the program with option mentioned above.

Hi

here what you have to do to capture and installation

1-click capture button >> an open file dialog will appear >> select an exe file >> press Ok on this dialog to choose the file

2- install the program whitch you choose and when you finish installing it
press the capture button again to tell the pluginbuilder that you finish installing the file

3 - then you press the build button >> now you should get the file's created on your C:\ drives along with registy change's made by the program you installed

---------
I also noticed that there is an option under
Main - Root - Programs ....

if you mean that you want Programs to be named PROGRAM FILES you can do that manually .. right click on Program node the select rename from popup menu the rename it to what ever you want

[SourceDisksFiles.any] should just be [SourceDisksFiles]

[SourceDisksFiles.2600] is for XP.

[SourceDisksFiles.3700] is for Server 2003

You must incorporate this distinction or it won't work right.

You might also want to include option(s) to add captured data from WininsallLE, Adminstudio, etc.
:P
