I'm trying to integrate Java, Directx and all of the visual basic redistributes to the WinPE project

I see that there is already integration for .NET framework so that is taken care of.

Is there a way to do this without installing it on a already live version of WinPE 8 and then capturing the changes?

What I want to do is, boot up WinPE and be able to run anything on the system with all those tools installed, and not

get any (fatal :) error messages. For example if there is a system that is infected, I can pop in my winPE USB and be able to run the system and programs on it without any hassle. Instead of getting a side by side configuration is incorrect error.

Hope I"m making sense

Thanks in advance

You rock!

Yes and no.

I mean, to me the idea of a PE is more like a "minimal" environment, maybe since you are going for a Windows 8 (or 8.1) base, if you add *everything* to it in the end you will find yourself with a "Windows to Go" :dubbio:.

Adding the VB redistributables shouldn't be a problem of course, and possibly also Java (you could most probably also "install it on-the-fly", as if I recall correctly there is no need to reboot when installing), but I wonder about DirectX...

1. That may very well be. but I want to do it "because I can" :)

and also if it works with everything, then I wouldnt need a full fledged, bloated

(more abjectives here) Windows system. I could use this for a fraction of the space

and resources.

2.  That makes sense. I think they are all dll files installed by their individual wizards and

scattered all over. The problem is that i have no idea what they are called. I'd like to grab them and dump them

in the system32 folder so the system can see them and use them as appropriate.
