Script for Winbuilder 082 to add the UltraDefrag disk defragmenter.

The 32-bit version is used for both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows PE, since it is compatible with both. Download the required 32-bit portable files from Source Forge.

Erik,
only to avoid possible misunderstandings, the version of Winbuilder you are referring to is probably 082, not "8.2".

Does the 32 bit version actually work on 64 bit PE without the WOW64? :dubbio:

I don't think so.  I suppose that I could update the script to copy the 64-bit version of UltraDefrag,  Unfortunately they are packaged separately, so I would have to change the source directory layout to put both versions under the same direcotry.

I do like the options and ideas behind UltraDefrag, especially over the stock Windows Defrag. but is there that many situations where fragmentation is too bad to wait and run it when you restart your installed sys?

Or does it run faster on an offline sys?

thanks

UltraDefrag used to be the only app that used it's ideas of sorting and placing stuff on a platter, is that still the case or have others apps adopted this idea.

sorry if this is too of-topic for this thread.

My apologies, I was thinking of "UltimateDefrag" by Disk Trixx.
