boot linux.iso's from grub4dos

NO, but it is possible to "translate" them.Is it possible to run .cfg menu files from grub4dos??

This:
translates to:menu label Live
kernel /live/vmlinuz
append initrd=/live/initrd.img boot=live live-config
title live
kernel /live/vmlinuz boot=live live-config
initrd /live/initrd.img
Or you can try:
grub4dos map /images/alinux.iso (0xff) || map --mem /images/gparted.iso (0xff); map --hook; root (0xff); kernel /live/vmlinuz boot=live live-config;initrd /live/initrd.img

Is this a typo?
If not, are the two separate images loaded? Are we loading gparted via alinux here?

Naah, it's a typo.
Probably "alinux" was meant more as "a linux" than as an actual reference to aLinux:

Something like "any linux" or "any iso" :
