Hi there,

MbrWiz is a nice tools to work with your hdd (Wipe, recover, sector save...)
I've made a GUI (MbrWhisky) so that it is easier to use, and added (recently) a support for the chkdsk tools.

The following is a quick list of functionality provided by MBRWiz:

Partition Modification
Delete Partitions
Hide/Unhide Partitions
Set Bootable/Active Partition
Change Partition Type

MBR Operations
Backup/Save MBR, Head, or individual sectors
Restore MBR, Head, or other sectors from file
Delete MBR, or Wipe all sectors on first head
Fix MBR due to damage or corruption
Copy Sectors
Clear or write a new disk signature
Sort partition table entries. Designed to match Windows boot.ini entries

Additional Functionality
Mount volumes within Windows
DisMount volumes
Modify Volume Label
Securely wipe entire disk
Boot Menu- Quick menu allowing user to select bootable partition
Shutdown/Reboot the machine
Create ini file containing the structured contents of the MBR
Read/Write a Status byte in the MBR

ChkDsk Gui support

The support of chkdsk has been tested with US/English and French system.
Because i use string pattern to display the infos and interact with the tool, this may not work properly with other languages. Enhanced language support may be added if i got enough request.

Test the chkdsk especially, foreign language support may be added if you tell me how chkdsk display on your system (i use "cent" (per cent) and "y/n" string to interact with it)

I while ago I wrote couple utilities for my own needs with similar functionality (in Delphi).
Once you got how to open physical drive the rest is trivial :P

It's a nice small tool, and a useful BartPE plugin. :P
With your permission, it had already been added also as a script to the ScriptPack for Batcher/OpenBuilder by Nuno.
I've now converted that script for WinBuilder, and updated to your new release. It can be found here :P

Added a better handling of chkdsk.
Added support for the German language.

Updated the www : http://red.boot-land.../mbrwhisky.html

And best of all, the German computer magazine com! (www.com-magazin.de, circulation: about 250.000 monthly) would like to publish it. :yahoo:
