when you sign up with sky for broadband they send you a router which has your username and password encoded in to it. if you phone sky asking for your username and password they will not give it to you as they only support the netgear router you supply, and want to prevent you from setting up a different router to connect to the internet with. this is all very well... unless you do not like the netgear router. personally i have encountered countless problems with pop3 and smtp settings through this router, and my clioents now want to get rid of it, and use a linksys wireless router.

after some research, i found out that the username and password can be extracted from the files on the router, and to save you the time and headache, i made a program to do it for you.

designed this application on my lunch break today,

hopefully it will be of use to you guys.
