But I cannot find the post.

Peter

BTW: This works as supposed:
IniWrite,%ScriptDir%\Test,Main,escape,#$pValue#$p

IniWrite,%ScriptDir%\Test,Main,escapeescape,##$pValue##$p

IniWrite,%ScriptDir%\Test,Main,#$pescape#$p,#$pValue#$p

IniWrite,%ScriptDir%\Test,Main,##$pescapeescape##$p,##$pValue##$p
:

[Main]
escape=%Value%
escapeescape=#$pValue#$p
%escape%=%Value%
#$pescapeescape#$p=#$pValue#$p

Sholdn't it actually be in the bug-tracker, instead of being in the back of your mind? :whistling:

In the working (old) or the discussion (new) version?

Yep, that seems to me like an additional problem

Now seriously, cannot you remember something more about that post? :whistling:

I remember two things:

#1: Lancelot confirmed to the poster that it is not possible.
#2: I tried and it was really not possible.

But now, whatever I tried, is possible

Peter
:whistling: or maybe fixed in the mean time with a different issue (unintended)

Unfortunatelly not!
But a third brain-snippet: May be the poster was one of the members who are rather active with win7, like SBaeder or PaPeuser.

only since my name passes here (+ interestingly without an unpolite, unwrong, unpostgaming ....... way)

* Poster was ctmag, (pc net etc.)
* issue (not issue) was not iniwrite but set,..,permanent writing script project with #$p (instead of %)
* on that topic/bug (where ever) I confirmed the change and explainded ctmag saying it is the internal wb processing changing from readable to cryptic and explained clearly saying this change have no known effect on overall processing (set,..,permanent is internal wb thingy)

Repeating: As expected and written to ctmag on topic by me before, this change do not have effect on wb processing.

With other words:
there is no issue,
current topic is only a "false positive memory alert"

Thanks, Lancelot!

(Very rarelly) we can do good things as a team.

This test code:
[process]

Set,%bla%,bla##$pbla

Echo,%bla%

Set,%bla%,bla#$pbla

Echo,%bla%
produces identical results for the 'escape' and 'escape-escape' input.
A real bug, I'm going to fix now.

Fixed :whistling:

Just a simple typo in the source code.
