Hi, this is my first post.

Beforehand, thanks to Olof Lagerkvist for this wonderful tool.

I have question on RamDisk. I do not want to save the image of ramdisk into file during shutdown, but now every time I start the PC, the ramdrive contains files from previous session. But if I do a restart, the ramdrive will be empty as expected.

I use ramdrive to keep e-trashes only and I do not want extra writes to my SSD.

How can I make sure RamDisk image is not written into file during shutdown?

Is this imDisk RamDisk default feature? If it so, how can I disable this persistance feature?

About my system, it is Windows 8 on SSD without pagefile and as far as I know I have disabled hibernate option.

Cheers

I would say that you have likely hibernation still active in some way, otherwise this would not happen. It is not a feature of ImDisk, so if it happens it is most likely caused by the "hybridsleep" feature in Windows 8.

Another option, rather than completely turn off hibernation, could be to hold down shift key while you click shutdown and keep shift key down until power off.

Yes, you're right.

The hybrid hibernate is still active. After disabling hibernate by executing "powercfg /h off" the ramdisk is cleared.

Thanks
