How to make bootable images larger than 1.4M

Hi

There are a lot of programs that can make bootable disketts for repaire purposes
and we can get image of that disks and use in our Multiboot CD or DVD.
But there is an small problem over here.Multiboot CD/DVD needs single image for
each utility, but some of programs (For example Partition Magic 8.0 or Ghost 2003)
Make two disketts for boot purpose and can not be runned by single disk.
So what to do?

You can Convert that two disks to single image in several ways, and i am going to
tell you an easy way here by using WinImage 8.
==================================================
Note: I suppose that you have Partition Magic 8.0,and you have created two
bootable diskettes by that.and we want to make an single bootable image from
these two disketts.

1_ Put diskette one to floppy driver.

2_ Open WinImage , go to disk in menu and selest "Read Disk"(See fig_1 in attachment)

3_program will read the disk (See fig_1 in attachment),after reading process, put the
second disk in floppy driver ,then go to image in menue and select "Change format"
(See fig_1 in attachment).

4_ You will see new window, select 2.88M on it and click on OK.(See fig_1 in attachment).

5_ Go to image in menu, select "Inject" ,then by using brows go to floppy drive and
select all files, andclick on open (See fig_1 in attachment).

6_ the program will ask your permission to do the work, click on yes.

7_ After finishing the proccess, save it for example by the name of PM8.ima or PM8.imz

8_ Now you have a single bootable image (about 2,81M) for partition magic 8.0 and you
can use it in your favorite Multiboot CD or DVD

have fun

For those that done have Floppy drives, you should recommend using the Virtual Floppy method.

I've tried doing that for norton ghost 11 but failed, was trying to make a boot image for PXE boot. ghost 11 seems to use it's own program to combine the disks.

HI AtomicKitten
Iam sorry,i think i should tell you more.
for making ghost 11 bootable single image,it is better ( my Way) is:

1. Make bootable diskettes of GHOST 2003 !!!
2. As i descibed on tutorial, change them to one bootable image
3. Open the single image you have just made,by UltraISO,and change
the file "ghost.exe" on it (that is for ghost 2003),by "ghost.exe"
from Ghost 11 (you should use DOS vertion, not ghost32.exe).and save

thats all and i have done several times,OK

thank you
shirin
