hi there!

this is my another attempt for graphic multi-boot, this time, it should be: SCRIPTABLE graphic multi-boot.

this target, i kept it for a long time, and gathered many information, tried many method.

here is an old release for this package, but the aerosim.exe used OpenGL. now, this time, it used SDL according to phcoder's suggestion from grub2 maillist. thanks for his effort.

if know sth. about LuaPlayer, yes, you should know AeroSim.exe is based on it when you view these lua script.

After all, my target is use this frame work in grub4dos. ;)

OK, you can get the old package mensioned above from this topic ( in CHS ), >> AeroSim old package<<

you can download the new package from : >> AeroSim new package <<

here is a snapshot:

P.S. there is no api doc, yet. i'm working on it. and, there is a notepad2.exe inside this package. it is very useful, i think. this version has extended the official notepad2: lua highlight, hex mode view ( ctrl+alt+h), function list, nfo file viwer, ... oh, if you want to replace the notepad.exe in system, you can rename this 'notepad2.exe' to 'nppsetup.exe', and run it on admin privilege - but, i have not implement the uninstall function. ;-)

for other stuff inside this package, i'll try to explain next time.

well, this tool is a graphic multiboot tool, it should contains two stub:
Aerosim and aero.sys. but, it uses lua as its program logic. the usage is
sth. like aerostudio: design in host system ( e.g. Windows ), run in
grub / grub4dos env. here, aerosim used sdl as its video driver, so, it can
be ported to unix system.

this time, this demo have aerosim.exe only, so we can see how this new
framework should be: we can now use the script to control the menu system.
and, i'm working on the aero.sys part.

this is not a new method for multiboot, for, the gfxboot has implemented this
before, but, its script language is hard to lean, and hard to design. i think
aeroboot should solve this problem.

for the copyright, it is free for all, because, it used lua, grub, sdl ...
i'll update the license when the next release is available.

for the doc, you are right. i'm always lazy, but, this time, aeroboot's api
refence must be provided.

ok, let's see, how funny aeroboot is.

very nice graphics. especially the windows 7 one. I thought this can be used in aerostudio but from what I'm reading I'm wrong right?
