@All Members,

by reading old posts/threads started during Boot-Land forum years, I'm having some difficulties with the (internal) links, since they clearly refer to the no more existent Boot-Land forum adresses ( a bug which was never fixed, even after the transition to the new Reboot.com forum!).

I recall that a few years ago, Wonko the Sane supplied some useful advices/tricks on how to convert old Boot-Land links, in such a way to have some chance to find the relevant posts/threads within the new Reboot site.

The point here is that I cannot find that important and basic post from Wonko and so I ask you all to help me in finding again those precious recommendations...

Thx in advance for your support

You mean this one?

http://reboot.pro/to...board/?p=153595

If you have *any* link to a topic on boot-land what you need is the topic number, then the best choice its to append it to:
http://reboot.pro/

and add to it a forward slash.

I.e. the present topic is:
http://reboot.pro/to...d-threadsposts/

but :

http://reboot.pro/21186/

will bring you here.

Alternatively you can add the thread number to:
http://reboot.pro/topic/

and append a hyphen, i.e.:
http://reboot.pro/topic/21186-

Just a little off-topic (or maybe not): Go to the Tutorials section and click in any of the Forums there, say, the Grub4DOS one, for instance and... poof! One gets a beautiful 404 error and a boot-land based address... now, ain't it nice?

Thx Dencorso, even if the main point here is that the boot-land based address is no more working !!!

precisely, it is andt thanks a lot!!!

Since the issue was not clearly solved at the time of the transition, in order to have a much better "organized" site, don't you think that your recommendations there should be sticked/pinned somewhere ? for instance, in the main index of Community forum ?

Thanks again,
