Most users will already be aware that Grub4dos 0.4.4 final was released on 31st March 2009.
I just wanted to say a big thank you to tinybit and the other Grub4dos developers for their hard work and time. I'd have been up sh!t creek without the proverbial paddle on a number of occasions without Grub4dos, so a big,
Thank you!

From now on I am no longer a member of the development team.
@board masters
This topic was pinned. I don't think it should be in such a way.
The pinned topics should be those related to technical issues, I think.
Thanks.

Thanks.
I pinned it to give it some more visibility, as it is well deserved.
Besides the "general" thanks to the whole grub4dos developing team , I reckon that your particular and never ending attention in solving problems and adding needed/asked features, like you always do and particularly did with reference to the UBCD, well deserve a "standing ovation" by the members of the board.
However, this, and the release of 0.4.4 should not be seen as an arrival, but rather as a starting point for betterings and further achievements that grub4dos will undoubtedly reach in the future....

I heard that the Europeans are very polite, and I did not quite believe that. Now it is really the experience. Formidable! And terrible!
Any way, and certainly, I have to say "Thank you" again because you just taught me English for an extra time. The new words and expressions are:
deserve
reckon
standing ovation
Of course I should thank my dictionary and Google who made a bidirectional translation for me, attentively, intimately and graciously.
And I almost forget to thank you for your cracking good work(also a hard work), in helping grub4dos and, as well, helping others on the board.
Then, next, I would be prepared to learn the etiquette of Europe, especially Italian etiquette.

Hmm.
I'll tell you a story , (with some more interesting words ) :
Three University professors travel together on a train from London to Edinburgh.
While crossing the southern part of Scotland, looking out of the window, one of the three, a phylosopher, notices a lonely black sheep munching some grass on a meadow nearby the railway and he comments:
- Well, we can infer that in Scotland sheeps are black.
The second one, an engineer, says:
- Hmmm, no, all we can say is that at least one sheep in Scotland is black.
The third one, a mathematician, keeps silent for a few seconds, then says:
- To be correct, all we can say is that at least one sheep in Scotland appears black on one side.
In Italy we have a saying:
[Italian]
Una rondine non fa primavera.
[/Italian]
which translates to:
[English]
One swallow doesn't make a summer
[/English]
<a data-ipb="nomediaparse" data-cke-saved-href="http://idioms.thefre... swallow doesn"href="http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/one+swallow+doesn" t+make+a+summer"="">http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/one+sw...t+make+a+summer
[German]
Eine Schwalbe macht noch keinen Sommer
[/German]
Though it is strange how a swallow in Italy does not make a spring (primavera) while in other European countries it doesn't make a summer, the message is the same.
erwan.l just confirmed that the French is more similar to Italian:
http://reboot.pro/to...mount/?p=210426
[French]
une hirondelle ne fait pas le printemps
[/French]

jaclaz
well, it is not so strange as it seems, wonko,
Even in Spain, una golondrina no hace verano (summer)
Swallows come to Italy first, and then they split north and west, to get there at summertime.
