What an awesome site, with a plethora of information. The challenge for me is based on my low-skill set, that I am having trouble navigating these waters. My use of google "site:" queries keeps returning so many topics, that I remain clueless.
As I don't want to post 'off-topic' or in the wrong board, I'll start with my question here, and person can direct me to the answer, resource or correct forum with which to get the info.
My ultimate goal would be to create a bootable USB drive with the ability to run Acronis to allow my to do a system restore.
My target system has a D975XBX2 MoBo with a Marvell controller as well as an OCZ Revo drive which seems to keep the built in Acronis recovery disk from booting the system.
There are probably 1,000 ways to skin this cat, and I may be waaay off base, but here is the direction i have taken so far:
I "know" or think I know I need to slip in the Revo and Intel/Marvel drivers, and I think that means a Silicon Image SiI 3124 SoftRAID 5 Controller for the revo (http://www.ocztechno...vers_32-bit.zip ), and the Marvel from intel - STOR_all32_f6flpy_9.6.0.1014_PV.zip
I tried creating a Barts PE, but get a variety of errors either during the PE build (?Maybe cause I can only find an OEM XP disk?), or when I get a PE build, some types of boot errors.
So, thats what I am trying to accomplish, and if anyone can 'point' me in the right direction, I'd be so grateful!@
Hello, and thanks for the resources

Hello,
I would suggest posting again on a more appropriate section (Windows PE for example) or otherwise it won't be read so easily by WinPE experts.

This was an old post but since everyone's responding to it now...
Any of the projects here http://reboot.pro/4111/ will produce the PE you want and booting it from USB is easy (in same tutorial) but getting it to work with your particular hardware may take some additional tweaking. Yes, OEM source disk is usually a problem; better to use untouched, retail M$ image for source (see tutorial).
