I like this part: :)

"You can recover from Microsoft and its suppliers only direct damages up to U.S. $5.00. You cannot recover any other damages, including consequential, lost profits, special, indirect or incidental damages."

It doesn't say anything about Network Boot though... :dubbio: It doesn't say either that WinPE can be customized and amended by other programs, unless this one applies:

"You may not
· work around any technical limitations in the software" :confused1:

What' interesting, there are no such restrictions for native boot VHDs... :smiling9:

That probably refers to the "Windows PE Limitations" list:

In that case, we can close reboot.pro, cause we do not only work around those limitations, but our sole purpose is, to work around those limitations.

Even as much as including 1 extra program into a default WinPE, is already working around limitations!

If that's correct, this clause is one of possible that applies:

"Windows PE does not support applications packaged with Windows® Installer (.msi)."

Does that mean, MS intent is to block use of any apps with WinPE other then the apps included with it by default, which don't require any adaptation? Anyone wants to ask MS clarification, if not given earlier? :money:

A runtime of only 72 hours, is no limitation for most home users to not use WinPE as a pirated OS. So this claim alone shows, how ivory tower the guys and girls at M$ are. Or they are only talking about commercial use. In that case nothing aplies to home users.

Also a reinstall cycle of just 3 months for a freely downloaded evaluation version of Windows7 is no limitation for any gamer, i know of, to not use an it as a pirated OS. ;)

It seems Microsoft should update their documentation to at least remove the 802.1x limitation, since it is available (supposedly) in the WinPE 3.1 release. But of course they didn't update any documentation in the WAIK or OPK for the SP1 version, just added that WinPE source.
