Was just downloading the LiveXP archive from winbuilder.net and came across this statistic.
Boy am i off, when it comes to peoples tastes! The only project doing worst is a project for Win3.11!!! :confused1:

Just want to say thanks MedEvil for an awesome PE build!

I had a HP NX9010 that had a failed IDE channel so I thought it was pretty much useless.

Your PE build has me and my son dancing to youtube clips in the lounge again!

The NIC wasn't supported in the default build but I tried loading the .sys and .inf files in drivers and inf folders respectively in the winbuilder target directory before making the ISO and it worked!

Looking forward to playing around with Winbuilder and eventually getting it to boot and run from RAM.

Cheers again!

Updated NaughtyPE.
Fixed a few bugs and added some features and eye candy.

List of changes:
- AudioXPE script got somehow broken, reuploaded it
- 'medevil my PE' contains now the fix for japanese unicode programs
- NaughtyPEs main page (project.script) status was lifted from 'bare minimum' to 'eye candy'. :(
- new Virtual Machines Driver script - This is meant to replace the numerous VM single driver scripts.
For now i still left the old scripts in. Just in case! :)
Would love to get reports about success/problems with it. Especialy from those, who are building from Win2k3 source.

Does anyone know which video card VirtualBox emulates? We have no script for such a driver nor could i find anything out about that. :)

:)

PS: Almost forgot. No more pressing >a< >enter<! :(

here is gpu driver for virtual box

http://lancelot.winb...F/VBoxVideo.rar

I tested with livexp+dipe+vbox v1.6.6 and vbox v2.0.4, seems to work fine.

I just found an iso file in virtualbox2 portable, VBoxGuestAdditions.iso and got the driver from there, also other drivers in .iso that you may like to use. :) :( :(

The first 4 error were caused by me, butchering up the script, by changing the names of the internal folders, last minute, to have a more consistend logic. - Fixed!

The 5. error was no real error. Booty just let the script delete a file without checking first. Fixed it nontheless.

The build seems fine, no errors reported, ISO is created, but I get an error when booting up.

Sorry Hive, since i don't have vmware, i can't check what the problem is.
First try not to use the 'autorun the iso in vmware' script. If that doesn't help, disable the Virtual machine drivers script and enable the single driver scripts one by one, until you get the error again.

Hi MedEvil

In the script xpe-pnp-aio.script Version=10 on the server naughtype.winbuilder.net
at the line # 1521
I think the
If,%pCheckBox9%,Equal,true,Run,%ScriptFile%,Process-autostart
should be
If,%pCheckBox10%,Equal,true,Run,%ScriptFile%,Process-autostart

Yes, you're right. Thanks!

Guess nobody noticed it before, because hwpnp from XPE-AIO script is not used in NaughtyPE.
Except for rerunning it through the use of the bat files in dire circumstances.

Will upload a new version tomorrow.

Fixed a little error in XPE-AIO script.
Since the error is in a part that is not used in NaughtyPE, there's no need to download the new script or rebuild your NaughtyPE.

Thanks to deras help. NaughtyPE has now support for HD-Audio too! ;)

Also, since dera had initially trouble with the 'USB mouse and keyboard hotplug script' like some others too, it's now deselected by default and holds a warning.

Also, since dera had initially trouble with the 'USB mouse and keyboard hotplug script' like some others too, it's now deselected by default and holds a warning.

Both scripts use CriticalDeviceDatabase to load drivers.
Drivers files has to be expanded at CriticalDeviceDatabase runtime.

Script autoCompress compress some USB drivers.
USB keyboard and mouse drivers dosn't load anymore.

LiveXP script autoCompress was updated not to compress USB drivers.

In additon: txtsetup.sif contains several double USB entries.
Several scripts adds entries to txtsetup.sif.
A nicer solution would set entries to txtsetup.sif. That way is no double entry.

And 'USB mouse and keyboard hotplug script' is badly ported from a PEBuilder plugin.
The script dosn't respect different builder behaviour:

PEBuilder
[DelLine]

"txtsetup.sif", "HardwareIdsDatabase", "USB\Class_03"
deletes all lines beginning USB\Class_03*
WinBuilder dosn't do this.
This maybe another reason.

Delete all USB\Class_03* lines.

Finally I used a valid name fom XP Embedded: usbhubb
That's only the name, original files from windows source are used anyway.
Another malicious software use this name in the meantime too.
A protection software may prohibid a valid build nowadays.
Use anthor name nowadays.

PEBuilder

[DelLine]

 "txtsetup.sif", "HardwareIdsDatabase", "USB\Class_03"
deletes all lines beginning USB\Class_03*
WinBuilder dosn't do this.

WinBuilder currently cannot do this!
I think that a new corresponding command (or command functionality) is a good enhancement for WinBuilder

EDIT:
I checked and we have the command:
TXTDelLine,%TargetDir%\i386\txtsetup.sif,USB\Class_03

So it is just a question of the script to use is. WinBuilder can handle! ;)

In my LiveXP project in this script:
\Projects\LiveXP\Drivers\5 Other\
usb_keyboard_mouse_hotplug.script
Version=001
downloaded from the server: livexp.boot-land.net
at the section [Process] right at the start I can see this line:
IniDelete,"%target_win%\txtsetup.sif","HardwareIdsDatabase","USB\Class_03"

but in TXTSETUP.SIF can see these lines:
[HardwareIdsDatabase]
USB\Class_03&SubClass_01&Prot_02="hidusb"
USB\Class_03&SubClass_01="hidusb"

In my LiveXP project in this script:
\Projects\LiveXP\Drivers\5 Other\
usb_keyboard_mouse_hotplug.script
Version=001
downloaded from the server: livexp.boot-land.net
at the section [Process] right at the start I can see this line:
IniDelete,"%target_win%\txtsetup.sif","HardwareIdsDatabase","USB\Class_03"

IniDelete cannot work here, because it deletes the EXACT key, in this case 'USB\Class_03', but not the keys starting with 'USB\Class_03', like 'USB\Class_03&Rev ...'
A wild card in IniDelete is not provided.

Version 2 of the Hot-plug USB keyboard and USB mouse script is now on the LiveXP server. Script now correctly deletes USB\Class_03* entries.

Galapo.

Hi All.
A neat looking project.
I tried Winbuilder fairly recently and it did some odd things that looked like it's server was
down, and after a while I gave up and used BartPE instead...
Speaking of such things - I wonder:
Is there a way to put this NaughtyPE onto a hard disk and run it from there like the way
it can be done with BartPE ?

Best Wishes,
smallhagrid

Sure, you can put NaughtyPE on a HDD, just like you've done with BartPE.
