Would it be possible to filter the extensions acepted as valid to be mounted as images?
At the moment we right-click on a .gif image (as example) and it will show the option to load as image..
Here is a small list of RAW image extensions:
BIN/CUE (.bin/.cue)
ISO (.iso)
BWT, BWI, BWS, BWA (Blind write - supported by daemon tools)
DMG (Apple disk image) (.dmg)
IMG (.img/.ima - disk image of floppy disks, optical media and hard disks)
Popular file images which need support (not RAW)
IMZ (gzip compressed .img)
MDF/MDS/CCD (.mdf/.ccd)
CSO (.cso) (compressed .ISO)
NRG (.nrg - not raw)

I also have a couple of floppy images with .dsk and .flp extensions. And there are also lots and lots of disk images, especially old floppy images, with no extensions at all. So I am thinking more of keeping the menu item(s) for all files but adding a dialog, something like "Are you sure you want to create a virtual disk of this image file?" and also maybe have a couple of checkbox options in that dialog like "Mount read-only" and device-type selection radio-buttons. Or maybe I can just bring up the same "create new"-dialog that is used in the control panel applet but with the name of the selected file ready in the filename textbox. Or something. Lots of ideas, I will try to implement something...
