Clear all unnecessary files before take a image of a volume. You can save a lot of GB, if you remove the software and game folders.

If you don't need create a full backup with all software that you need install again (eg. reinstall the SO on the machine)... If later you don't need restore the full image... this little application is your new friend.

This script contains Offline PreBackup CleanTool.
  • It's a Beta Release and ReadOnly Mode ( no auto clean for now).
  • Includes two translations for now: English and Spanish.
  • The application Database: Need more folders to detect, but you can edit the file.
  • The application need more work to detect offline users profile folders, now it's all.
  • Note: Double Click on ListView2 to jump (with explorer.exe) to the folder path.

Although the application allows you to add new folder paths, I pray you... post a message in the thread of this script, with folder paths you to consider as software that substantially increases the size of backup unnecessarily... Software that must be installed back into the system to function properly (like MS-Office, Corel Draw, Nero, etc...). Obviously, are excluded the folder paths of enterprise management software.

Another reason for it's a beta... AutoIt does not access as it should be to the WinAPI(s) in WinPE... In Windows host no problem.

Can anyone help me with this?

This is the code used
