the startmenu icons are generated fine, just the exit icon has a bug...

Open with notepad works fine for me...can you check the registry of you pe and maybe tell me a bit more about your config...

try downloading the complete package from the rapidshare link in this thread (see some posts up)

this may be cause by a wb bug...is is already discussed in a WB thread...has nothing to do with VPE

also try with installed waik sp1, this should make vpe use imagex so you error should not come up...still very strange, but as you seem to be the only one so far i am not sure where it comes from...

Testing with the rapidshare link. I get 2 errors during build.



Im just trying to report this because I normally dont use Waik, but when I have it normally works. Ill install it for this test. But Im just reporting this because I use wimutil normally and this error wont let
me.

When I come back I will try to upload the one that works for me before the RC1 and using youre update files.

Here is the one that works for me. I had to delete the App folder since it used to much space when uploading. During the tests the app options where disabled. I have included the log that it created.

I have a request. Would it possible to have an option to enable/disable the hardware detection of vpeldr.exe. In my case it is not needed and the hardware detection actually potentially have some issue in some cases (as recently posted by some people). Would that make sense?

But i have too many problems with this version...
Question: Why NightMan haven't incorporate the possibilty of 512Mo scratchspace ?

I think having 1/2 of your 1Gb of ram set to scratch space is asking for problems. You still need ram left to load the OS ( services, drivers etc ) and your programs as well.

The difference of VistaPE from other project is that, it is working on the physical ram.
This ensures to it many advantages by this way you don't hear always the voice of the CDRom Drive and program works with more performance

Not to be controversial but that's not exactly true - LiveXP w/ BootSDI (uses ~100-200MB RAM) has all these advantages you mention with even greater performance than VistaPE in RAM (that's my experience). I'm coming around to VistaPE as an adjunct to existing tools but I'm no where near ready to accept its superiority and just have to defend the truth here, however, if you keep putting out those great scripts (just for VistaPE ) I may soon have to rethink this statement

To circumvent the download problems with WB075, use WB074 for download and WB075 for processing.
