Those were real adictions.

I also played all the commander keen series non-stop along with duke nukem.

They run great on a 286 with VGA colours.

----

Wolfenstein was also the first quality 3D shooter I've ever played on a 286, eventually I became much more amazed with the capabilities of Quake I running on a 64Mhz 486 CPU.

The first Quake was very scary when you played it in a dark room and saw those monsters with such vivid motion heading forward to you.

One other of my favourites was WarCraft I - those orcs really know how to cause a mess to the quiet human villages.

Last game I went all the way to the end was the first half-life and nowadays still play some StarCraft BroodWars in multiplayer mode to pass some time (or hours).

I played all the ones you mentioned, plus some others.
Abuse, addictive and finished it.
