By listening to you and plenty other senior members i'm hoping that I reach that level shortly.
I doubt that.
not that you won't soon reach a very good level
, simply MOST of the actual "senior members" - or at least one - yours truly, will never spend 30 minutes to watch a senseless video, thus it is very IMprobable you will get something to listen to.
Video tutorials are IMNSHO
ONLY useful as visual support to something that has
ALSO, and
MAINLY already been described textually.
Just think of the zillion links you used in your video and that can be clicked or copied/pasted from a normal TEXT tutorial.
Yeah, you put a nice notice about them links being in "video notes", only - being it aimed to "newbies" - you simply miss the basic info of WHERE THE HECK those "video notes" are.
Think about the old dinosaurs
that want to actually LEARN from it by STUDYING it's contents and that may find useful to PRINT a set of instructions, add to them notes in hand writing, underline or highlight some key sentences/steps....
I have anyway a little small advice DO NOT CAPITALIZE or
bold indiscriminately whole sentences or the whole post, the only effect you will get is to annoy some member (particularly me), see Rule #9:
http://reboot.pro/82/You went through a lot of work to create that video but the result - unfortunately - is of no real use.
Notwithstanding it's length and complexity you did not even state the EXACT version of Avira Antivir Rescue CD and grub4dos you initially failed with.
User
tefole (as well without mentioning the actual version) has posted a seemingly working menu.lst entry no more than three weeks ago:
http://reboot.pro/16004/page__st__12iftitle [if exist /boot/Images/AntiVir/Avira.iso.gz && set AVIRA=/boot/Images/AntiVir/Avira.iso.gz] Aviran%AVIRA%
find --set-root --ignore-floppies %AVIRA%
map --mem %AVIRA% (hd32)
map --hook
root (hd32)
kernel /vmlinuz vga=791 initrd=initrd.gz ramdisk_size=99889 root=/dev/ram0 rw console=/dev/vc/4
initrd /initrd.gz
needing not any mod to initrd.gz.
Are they different versions?
