Well let me first start off by saying that i just found your site last night after trying to find a solution to edit bart pe to my own liking. I was very pleased about your work here and nothing pleased me more than booting up for the first time into a windows explorer shell! Now to the question.

I have searched the site and im trying to make my own scripts to add my own software such as adaware etc. Now i saw a rather confusing tutorial about the make script and then i found another that showed in more detail. I cant figure out where the whole E:\WB_Source\Applications\IrfanView\To_Programs\Your App is located. Is this representing my windows source cd and you want me to place a To_Programs folder in the root, then add my Ad-aware folder with the app inside.

Basically all im trying to do is add the exe and the def file to the programs file folder and make a shortcut to it on the desktop.

It seems your site does not have a detailed tutorial on how to make scripts but only heres a little bit here and there and no one ever explains where the IfranView folder structure comes from.

Thanks for your time and this is really a wonderfull project you guys have going here!

Try this:
Attached File  MakeScript_V10.zip   382.95KB   367 downloads

After script is generated, you must replace “Shorcut” into “Shortcut” throughout the Script
and “CheckBoxShortcutQ” into “CheckBoxShortcutQL” in “Interface” section.

Hi SmOoThEm!

Welcome to our community! :confused1:

If you follow our talks during the next week you will find more informations to do exactly what you need to know.

The way how scripts are created is being improved to a common API (set of standard commands) to help people create scripts that work on different projects.

On the meanwhile, phox has proposed a good program to try - If you have any more question feel free to ask them.

You can else edit those scripts with either notepad or the built-in script editor inside wb - a good way to learn is using other scripts as reference. Try using the CD-Writer script, it's simple to get started and it will do exactly what you need.

btw: This topic should be moved to the Requests sub-forum to keep it only for tutorials - hope you don't mind..

Good luck!! :confused1:
