Very easy to make a script.

Open Winbuilber, click on the Tools/Options button and use the tool to create scripts.

Tutorial here: http://www.boot-land...ript-t2665.html

I include the respective app script here: Attached File  WindowsGate.script   370KB   2678 downloads

Far easier than creating a bartpe plugin.. :)

Testing Script.
WindowsGate.jpg

If you test it without an attached Windows Installed Drive for example in Vmware right after you build youre project you will not have anything for WindowsGate to see.

But when I reran it with an attached Windows XP Installed. WindowsGate saw it and gave me the option to Select it and also then gave the option to Unlock it once I selected the Windows XP Drive.

Sees the Windows XP install
WindowsGate2.jpg

Select the drive and then Choose the "Unlock" Button. After a few seconds it pops a window saying "OS unlocked".
WindowsGate3.jpg

Once you click the "ok" button that pops up saying "OS unlocked". You will get the option to "Lock" it again.

WindowsGate4.jpg

Im guessing at this point you just restart youre computer and boot into youre real Windows XP install or any of the other OS you unlocked. So I will close WindowsGate and restart the computer.

Still testing...

LOL. I didnt have more then one account in my Windows XP install. Haha!
I need to create some accounts and retest up to this point. So i will go back to the PE and choose "Lock".
Then go back to real OS and recreate some Password protected accounts. And try the Unlock again.

Back in the PE, I selected the Unlocked Windows XP and I was given the only choice I was expecting wich was to "Lock" it back up. Working as expected.
WindowsGate5.jpg

Locked again. Once Locked again you get the option Unlock it.

Going back to Real windows to create 2 password protected test Locked Accounts with Computer admin privileges.
locked1.jpg locked2.jpg

Going back to PE to "Unlock". Ok! I have redone the "Unlock" Option. So OS is said to be unlocked.
Going back to Real OS to check.

This time i get a list of accounts I have, The Locked Account 1 and 2 should be Unlocked.
locked3.jpg

Selected Account 1 and its login in.
locked4.jpg

Inside account.
Loged_in.jpg

Going back to PE to select Lock option and come back to Real OS to see if its locked.
Rebooting and going to login since accounts should be locked again.

Yes! WindowsGate works very well. As you can see the account is locked again.
locked5.jpg

This one is a keeper. Great job "Damian " ie: "Ectomorph "

Thanks Nuno for Script.

I had problem running your batch file. It seemingly hang, I had to enter ctrl-Z to end.
Could you take a look? Thank you.

Try using the commands properly:

A parameter is missing or incorrect, you typed:
unwbzip /L windowsgate.script

Usage:
unwbzip <scriptname.script> [options] [<section> <filename>] [TargetDir]

Options:
/L - List all filenames of files encoded in .script
/LS - List all Sections of files encoded in .script
/XA - eXtract All files encoded in .script
/XF <filename> - eXtract File <filename> regardless of it's Section
/XS <section> - eXtract All files contained in <Section> only
/XSF <section> <filename> - eXtract <Filename> from <Section> only

Try with full path and with /L and /LS commands first, it seems like the Source is not found
unwbzip D:\Multiboot\Tools\unwbzip\WindowsGate.script /L
unwbzip D:\Multiboot\Tools\unwbzip\WindowsGate.script /LS
Then try with a shorter path, like:
D:\unwbzip
but I don't think there is a limit in length that is "triggered" by your current path.

It's probably an error in the parsing.

Strange , as I thought that Lancelot on the main thread:
http://www.boot-land...showtopic=10783

had found all the available options to make the previous versions crash.

Does
unwbzip D&#58;\Multiboot\Tools\unwbzip\WindowsGate.script /XF WindowsGate.exe
work?

I'll have a look at it. ;)

Hi jacklaz,

I get the invitation  ,
sorry for giving wrong impression, better to say I am verrrrry satisfied from the result .

post 3 of Nuno, providing v1 of script packed "Mar 2 2008, 06:26 PM ", which should be packed with a winbuilder >= 074,
I found v2 of the script by Galapo, which was updated using wb074 (I guess), unwbzip works fine. (+same with one at livexp server, since than packed file not touched)

so issue is directly pointing v1 script of Nuno.... either wbzip_new.exe or unwbzip, I think you can figure out quickly. btw, I also remember some times wb supporting more than one encoding methods but i am not sure if it is related or not (I feel not, I leave inspections to others at this point).

;)

edit: strike out not related....

Can you post a link to the two versions of the .script you used (Nuno's and Galapo's)?

Here They are:
Nuno's

...
I include the respective app script here: WindowsGate.script
...

alternate link

Galapo's
http://livexp.boot-l...dowsGate.script

Well here my test results somehow become unconstant.
I got "Environment variable EncodedFile not defined" at a time which i can not remember how now.

currently following works with all 3 here (Nuno, Galapo, JonF)
unwbzip C:\1\WindowsGate.script /XF WindowsGate.exe C:\2\
unwbzip C:\1\WindowsGate.script /XA C:\2\
unwbzip C:\1\WindowsGate.script /LS

Thing is hiding here now, If I catch I will post, Good luck on catching  ;)

Judging from this:

Does

D&#58;\Multiboot\Tools\unwbzip>

summed up to your findings is the problem a missing backslash at the directory name?

It is possible , as I normally "by default" consider a target directory to be always terminated by a backslash, whilst peter uses the no trailing backslash convention:
http://www.boot-land...?...=9658&st=16

I can add a check for it no problem, if ktp confirms that the batch works with the trailing backslash. :(

@Wonko the Sane

I use an US version of XP.
To debug, I set the path to empty (set path=). The /L option works, the /LS requires more.com (in %systemroot%\system32). So I set path=c:\windows\system32 and reexecute with /LS option : hang, need to ctrl-Z.

So maybe it is related to more.com.

I don't get it, you don't "debug" a batch script by setting PATH= to nothing.
You insert PAUSEs and ECHOs in the crucial parts and check what happens.

:/LS
SET /A Counter=0
ECHO.
ECHO # - Section(s)
ECHO ________________
ECHO.

PAUSE
ECHO Archive is %Archive%
PAUSE
more %Archive% ^|FINDSTR /B /I "[EncodedFile-"
PAUSE

FOR /F "tokens=2,3 delims=-]" %%A IN ('more %Archive% ^|FINDSTR /B /I "[EncodedFile-" 2^>nul') DO CALL :Parse_Sections "%%A" "%%B"
ECHO.
GOTO :EOF

and:

:Parse_Sections
ECHO A is %1
ECHO B is %2
PAUSE

SET /A Counter+=1
SET EncodedSection§%Counter%=%1
IF %Counter% gtr 0 SET /A Previous=%Counter%-1
IF !EncodedSection§%Counter%!.==!EncodedSection§%Previous%!. (SET /A Counter-=1) ELSE (ECHO %Counter% - %1)
ECHO EncodedSection§%Counter%
PAUSE
