Hello guys, I would really need your help with this one.

 

So, I wanted to install Win XP into old netbook, and due to that I needed to mount an usb iso. I used WinSetupFromUsb 1.8

 

I've chosen RMPrepUsb, and then in options I chose XP/BartPE bootable [NTLDR], and next NTFS and Boot as HDD (C: 2PTNS) and hit start button.

 

Soon after it started, it gave me this:

"Insufficient access rights"

 

After that  "Error 6 Operation failed returned by RMPARTUSB" was displayed to me

 

And now the funny part. It seems like usb drive is not divided into partitions - first with 31,1GB and second with 0 Bytes (but when I try to format it through system tool, ot shows 31,5kb and seems damaged. 

Whenever I am connecting usb to pc - it shows me 2 (!) usb drives now, and the second one (31,1GB can be formatted, so I did - but it won't help to fix it)

 

I am afraid to try the instalation of a system on the second usb drive to prevent it from damaging.

Did you run as Admin?

RMPrepUSB has context-sensitive help box - hover cursor over  'Boot as HDD' to see the help text in the help box.

It will create 2 partitions - new Windows 10 now tries to mount both partitions.

Latest version of RMPrepUSB will format the 31.5K so Windows does not complain. This partition should not be used.

Thank you for your interest in my problem. 

 

I do not remember how was it in first time, later I thought about that, but with no diffrence in outcome.

In fact - it is creating second partition.

 

Ok so what to do now? How to complete instalation? What access right do I need to have?

 

I tried again - NOW ERROR 9 IS SHOWING, O MY $$##!!

At least - I started FBinsta and autoformatted it. It now works.

 

One question to you is, would you be able to guide to install this sytem on this pendrive properly? What kind of access do I need to provide to go further with this?

The problem is:

After selecting options, during at the beginning of the instalation process, "Insufficient access rights" is being displaying to me. What could be the issue? And how can i fix it, to successfully create usb drive?

if FBInst works - why not just use that?

Just use "Auto format it width FBinst" before.
