"How to show my gameplay to my friends?", "Can I use some program to record my Webcam chat?" When you have problems of these, you may need a tool to capture your computer screen activity and save it to a video file.
Besides the case we mention above, you will need to record your computer screen in following scenarios.
Screen demos.
Training videos.
Teaching videos.
Animated tutorials.
Animated presentations.
Animated help files
Do you need a camera or camcorder to record the computer screen?
If you want to record every click of what you have been doing on computer, camera is not the only choice.
Because a camera or comcorder in front of your computer to record your screen is not practical with the following reasons:
1. It can not record the screen precisely.
2. The resulting video will be fuzzy.
3. The recording is not easy to edit.
4. The video file is too large for web sharing and transmission
Computer screen recorder is what you need.
You could use some screen software to record desktop screen to video, and save as avi, wmv, swf, flv format, which could upload to Youtube and other blog or video share website immediately. Also, the record video file size is much less that the camera.

This might be a legitim program but the past two topics from this member were exactly equal to this one but were pointing people to download the software from rapidshare.
If I'm mistaken my apologies for being suspicious, otherwise better safe than sorry.
Thanks.

It is of course a simple coincidence or a common act of patriotism that the domain is from China:
and the user promoting it's use is also from China.Registrant:

here, what we talk about is the product. wherever i come from, whatever my colour is, not others? ok?

Not at all, I am personally treating you like a nice guy at his first post that missed the fact that we have a Rule against promoting Commercial/Sharerware apps on the boot-land site.
You might also want to know that we like so much Chinese people that an exception was made, exactly for a Chinese product/firm, as you can see here:
http://www.boot-land...?showtopic=3082
Please take your time reading here:
http://www.boot-land...?...=3082&st=10
what are the intended policies, explained in detail.
I couldn't care less about the relationships between China's Government and Google, both, each in their respective field, are big enough to need not my advice or help.
I am still looking for BOTH the knowledge you are sharing AND the people that judged it useful here on boot-land:
but I seem not be able to find ANYthing like that.yes, i am promoting. but at the same time, i am promoting knoweledge. why some people saw it, and judged it is useful. ?
However I see that you have quite a lot of people writing you to tell how great is your program
http://www.totalscre...n-recorder.html
which is a good thing.
WOW! 5 (five) contented users' reports and a survey carried out via e-mail comprising 4 (four) people.

Who is going to pay the US $24.95 for the registration of the suggested software?
I always use acethinker screen grabber online to capture my laptop screen to make video tutorials, it's an online app, free and easy to use, no need to download or install anything. You might check it out.

Good .
I am perplexed by the "no need to download or install anything" , attempting to use it I got:
Please download launcher and install it before you start recording
Personally (for the very little uses I need) I use this nowadays, just for the record:

Isn't this topic, well....way off topic? It reads like one of the advert threads the spammer known as 'The Hive' would post.

"TheHive" is a spammer only in your mind.
For all the other people he is one of the earliest members of the Community, member #5 for the record, and a much esteemed one.
He also contributed to the design of several of the logos and bootscreens used in various Winbuilder Projects, example:
http://reboot.pro/to...79-livexp-logo/
but then what do I know, I am also a spammer, according to you.

Then maybe someone should tell him to stop posting his BS advert threads. Because if you ask me, the evidence says he's a spammer, respected or not. Michael Jackson was a highly respected musician, but he was a pedophile too. The fact that he was respected doesn't change what he was.

To clear things.
REX2010 is (was) a spammer (but of the nice kind, i.e. first thing a human, to which one can talk), see (JFYI):
http://reboot.pro/to...why-a-notebook/
13 out of 15 posts are about promoting this or that tool
jeffcard 99.99(9)% is a spammer (very likely an automated robot), as he joined the board only to provide his suggestion by bumping a 6 (six) years old thread (and placing a link to another Commercial software site in his member profile).
And he joined lately a lot of boards, in all of them praising (at his first or second post) the same acethinker thingy, *like*:
http://www.pctechbyt...#comment-161274
http://en.community....3517/t/19621593
http://forum.superce...S-Devices/page2
http://www.minecraft...o-jailbreak#c12
And other sites:
http://www.asknguyen...e-5-screen.html
http://www.pcmag.com...phone-or-tablet
He is even on Reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/user/jeffcard/
AND he is also already on the NoForumSpam list:
https://stopforumspa...ck/47.89.40.132
Out of the 4098 (fourthousandninetyeight) posts by TheHive on this board spanning roughly 10 (ten) years , maybe there are a few that could be mistaken for spam, of course, but no, he is not a spammer (but if you are convinced of him being one, and it disturbs you so much, you should e-mail Nuno and he will surely take adequate actions).

You are(TheAntiFinder (Someone changed their nickname) hilarious. You seem to be the spammer of rumors .
If you know how to use a PC then you should be able to stop popups or other things that spring up when visiting posted links. Personally haven't seen much ads, popups, or such. Try using a condom and not a plastic bag.
Anyways! Here is a recommendation from a real old thread towards using Camstudio. Link to thread at bottom of my posts.

Um... I? I bought linkremoved few years ago. Well, at least it has a lifetime license and free updates, comparing to Xsplit
I heard that developers plan to create a forever free Action! trial, without the 30-days limit.

the latest versions of PowerPoint include the feature.
Step 1: Head to the “Insert” tab, and select “Screen Recording.”
Step 2: Click “Select Area” to choose the specific area of your screen you want to record. If you want to record the entire screen, press the Windows Key, Shift and “F.”
Step 3: Click the “record” button,” or press the Windows key, Shift and “R.”
When you’re done you can save the video as a separate file to access or embed as you see fit. Editing and control options are very limited after that, but it’s a great option for quick-and-dirty recording — especially if you’re doing it for a looming presentation.
