Work Fine with "UsbBootWatcher" and is very fast !!! 1'30" with "Verbatim Store 'n' Go 4 Go". Less than 45" with "OCZ TROTTLE 8 Go" !!! You're the Best. You're the "Lightning Bolt" of PE and Others Systems !!!

Thanks a Lot.

Good news, nearly all VistaPE Core v.12 (RC1b common API) scripts will work in next build. :whistling:

I just created a build with no applications and I now see my drives. I will try to determine which application is causing me to not see my drives. I have a sneeky suspicion that it is the acronis disk director script that I am using.

I'd be happier if they all worked ... can you tell me which have problems?

Hello Joshua!

On your Tutorial page, I had to change a few things to get things to build properly.

Under Win7RescuePE\Build\0 - PreConfig I had to change the install.wim container to 1 or i kept getting pnputil.exe file not found copy errors.

Under Win7RescuePE\Build\1 - Copy Files I had to change Language to UK English to get it to go through since I was using the English RTM of Win7.

Under Win7RescuePE\Net\ I had to uncheck VMWare Ethernet

Under Win7RescuePE\VirtualTest\ I had to uncheck Run ISO in VMWare

Just may want to add these notes to your Creating Win7RescuePE Tutorial for those building with different language base and without VMWare as their test environment.

After these adjustments I was able to get a bootable ISO made.

I'm also very curious to know what breaks and in terms of VistaPE scripts so far?

Thank you so very much for all your hard work! :)

From the testet Apps, Spybot and Pserv.
Both are working now! :) Missing files in Win7RescuePE. (mfc42.dll ......)
To get Parted Magic Linux working, i need to change some more things. :)
With handmade changes it also works now.

Wow two years wrestling with getting VistaPe to recognise my drives and it turns out to be an app script. Well I rebuilt Win7RescuePe and it turns out that acronis disk director was the culprit not allowing me to see my drives. Unbelievable. I will have to either pick another partition manager or add to multiboot somehow. Great work on this project !!!!!!

After a quick look to your scriptfile, i think you have problems with: "UpperFilters" drivers!

Why are people not telling what configuration or changes the do ???
I think this happens when you boot from usb drive, and not from CD.
I am working on this problem!

The missing shortcuts result from the failure to find the PEDrive when booting from a USB drive. Adding to the [PackBoot] function of the postconfig.script the line:

FileCopy,"%targetdir%\Win7PE.cfg","%BootTMP%\Win7PE.cfg"

fixes the shortcut problem. An error message about not finding the PE drive is still displayed.
