I have a very peculiar problem with my setup:

I composed a cc7pe with an Acronis TI 2010 plugin.

After the cc7pe gets build, I test it with a VMWare emulation, everything works fine, I can see the True Image Link on the desktop and it starts normally.

This cc7pe gets incorporated into a ccMultiBoot along with PartedImage, the ccMultiBoot is written onto an USB key.

When I now start a PC with the Multiboot USB key, grub starts normally an presents cc7pe and PartedImage, upon selecting cc7pe this also starts normally with the exception that Acronis True Image is not there anymore.

Going back to testing with VMWare, I select the cc7pe.iso file sitting on the very USB key to be started and bingo, ATI is there again.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

It may be that cc7pe (whatever that is!) looks for plugins on a device once PE has booted. Presumably you are loading the ISO with a grub4dos map command.
When PE boots, it will just see a USB drive with an ISO file on it - it won't see the ATI plugin files as they are inside the ISO file!
If you copied the files from inside the ISO file onto your USB drive as flat files, it might work...

What trhe HECK is a cc7pe? :w00t:
"An" Acronis plugin means NOTHING! (there are more "Acronis plugins" then stars in the sky).

Please post DETAILS and possibly ACTUAL LINKS to the EXACT tools/scripts/programs/whatever you are attempting to use.

Compare with this guideline:

Sorry about the double post, don't know how that happend? :dubbio:

@steve6375

Right on!
Just noticed the folder "ProgramsAcronis" in the root of the USB key when I read your reply.
So I repeated the test with just the bare iso file loaded into VMWare. After startup of cc7pe there is just the link on the desktop, but ATI won't start anymore.

If I only found a working one... :cold:

cc7pe stands for CitroComputer PE, it came prepared with Winbuilder when I started working with the project some time ago.

I see :), it's one of the semi-private :( projects by Markus Debus, known here on the board as "ctmag" or "pecd.net" :

I guess you might want to ask him directly for support, and YES, I am personally very critical when it comes to this particular kind of issues:

In any case, when asking for help, you should post a log:

this way a lot of meaningless guessing is taken away from the equation :).
