Okay, so I've been scouring the internet trying to find a solution to this, if one even exists, and I've come up with nothing. Here's my situation:

I just received a notebook with 16 GB of RAM (more than I will probably ever use). Since I have this surplus of memory, I have been researching ways to utilize it, and one of my friends mentioned to me booting the entire OS into the RAM, since it's so much faster than a HDD or a SSD. This led me to an endless and fruitless Google nightmare, so I've finally given up and decided to ask this directly. Is it possible? And if so, how would I go about doing this?

Thanks so much to whomever decides to read this.

Yes. :w00t:

It's tricky business :) , not (yet ;)) "full", "easy" methods available, but there are some procedures.

Ha, you weren't kidding when you said it wasn't easy...It might be a bit beyond my scope of ability, but I'll give it a try.

Thanks for replying!
