Ho provato vari rinominamenti ma senza esito: sembrano non andare d'accordo!
E' capitato a nessun'altro?
Soluzioni?

It is appreciated that people either posts in English or uses the "Regional" area:
http://www.boot-land...hp?showforum=39
http://www.boot-land...hp?showforum=46
obviously with limitations in the amount and quality of help and support obtainable.
[Italian]
Questo è un forum internazionale dove la lingua comune usata è l'inglese.
E' apprezzato l'uso del SOLO inglese nel forum oppure l'uso delle aree "regionali":
http://www.boot-land...hp?showforum=39
http://www.boot-land...hp?showforum=46
ovviamente con limiti nella quantità di aiuto e supporto ottenibile.

I downloaded the last release of LIMP (the 2.5) e the last version of SARDU-CD (the 1.0.7.3.c).
I try a lot of renaming but I haven't any good result: when I ask to make a bootable usb, the LIMP iso is not accepted.
Is this happen to someone other?
There is any solutions?

Next step:
Theory of operation
How a post requesting help should be made:
http://homepages.tes...ard-litany.html
Declared goal:
I would like to add LIMP version 2.5 to my SARDU multiboot .....
What is/where it is found (avoids the need for willing helping members to look for it):
It is a Linux distro that can be found here:
http://sourceforge.n.../limp-vkk-ver1/
Some details:
The distro comes as a .iso file named limp.iso.
It uses Isolinux as bootmanager/bootloader.
I have Sardu in C:\Sardu\.
I placed the limp.iso in k:\a completely random named folder\the limp 2.5\limp.iso (example)
Some EXACT details of approaches already tried:
I tried renaming the file to:
but none of the above worked.
- .....
- .....
- .....
- .....
Some EXACT description of the symptoms (i.e. what you experienced, errors, etc. while trying the above)
I cannot select the checkbox in SARDU for LIMP/Sardu stops with the message ....
Completely uneeded/unuseful question (unless you are gathering DATA for a statistical report):
Is this happen to someone other?
Question that can be answered with Yes or No:
http://homepages.tes...no-answers.html
There is any solutions?
Actual question:
![:)](http://reboot.pro/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.png)
How can I make LIMP working/be added to Sardu?
LIMP is supported allright.
![](http://reboot.pro/public/style_emoticons/default/unsure.png)
It's name should be in the form limp*.iso:
http://www.sarducd.it/linux.html
It should be put inside the \ISO\ subfolder in Sardu's directory.
(It is probable that Sardu cannot find it because you put it somewhere else.
![](http://reboot.pro/public/style_emoticons/default/cheers.gif)
It needs NOT to be renamed since limp.iso is compatible to the limp*.iso form.
I just tested the ISO creation and it works allright, it should also for the USB.

- I put sardu.exe in a folder called sardu in the root of c:\ (my main hd where I have W7 enterprise).
- Usually sardu works with the other iso that I've downloaded e put in a folder called iso inside the sardu folder.
- The original name of the distribution was limp.iso and I downloaded it exactly from the websites linked in http://www.sarducd.it/linux.html that is http://sourceforge.n.../limp-vkk-ver1/.
- I try a lot of renaming and all in accord to the requested limp*.iso (e.g. limp_ver.2.5.iso, limp.ver.2.5.iso and limp.2.5.iso).
- When I start sardu, it find the iso - and so indicates that the name of iso is not a problem - but during the action of MAKE BOOTABLE USB the little square near the limp option became unchecked and uncheckable...
- The limp iso recorded in a cd or in in bootable usb pen work perfectly...
Sorry again for my my lot mistake but I don't understand that this forum was so formal...
I usually write in a lot of forum in Italian or in my bad English and no-one indicates me a template for the question...
Now I formal promise you that in in the future if I will open a new treed, I will take more care...

It isn't, rest assured.

I just pointed out to you a way to get better help, you are perfectly free to ignore it, and do whatever else you may see fit, it was just "common sense advice", compare:
http://www.boot-land...?showtopic=9101
NOT at all "compulsory" Rules.
So the problem is ONLY with USB and NOT with ISO making?
![](http://reboot.pro/public/style_emoticons/default/unsure.png)
Have you tried NOT renaming limp.iso?
It works for me, WITHOUT ANY renaming. (I stopped it when Sardu actually wanted to write to the USB stick as I don't have one expendable handy right now, but the checkbox remains checked and the "LIMP" cell becomes green, so it should mean that it is working).
As a general rule, using "multidot" names in DOS and Windows is NOT a good idea, but this is evidently a problem with Sardu as if I rename to limp2.iso -> NOT working.
So, for the moment DO NOT rename it, leave it at limp.iso.
davidecosta will probably fix this hiccup as soon as he has time.
