Hi --- I have fixed the error message (cannot find sulogo.sys) that occurs at the end of file copying in the Mindows setup. Anyone interested in creating a startup screen (minlogo.sys) for Mindows? I have one which I got from a guy in Malaysia, which I will include for the moment. Still not settled in with my own internet connection, but will try to upload sometime this coming week. I'll post a notification on http://www.winimize.com when the corrections have been made to the setup files.

I cannot help you directly, unless you want a logo screen like a 6 year old could draw :P but I can give you a hint.

Our "resident" graphical designer is The Hive I am sure he will be able to do a good work. :P

Just post what you want on it and I think we can work something out.

Hey TH ---

I had nothing special in mind, especially since the startup screen obscures startup info and takes up unnecessary space. All the same, I thought it might be fun to have a dedicated screen for Mindows.

Did you see the logo.sys contained in http://www.winimize.com/newlogo.zip ? I received it years ago when working on 98lite, and was quite fond of it. Something similar saying "Booting Mindows" ? And maybe just a little brighter ?

Thanks --- Mike

I took a look and I havent found an easy way to create such an effect and or edit the logo.sys to the Mindows effect. I do like the one that is already there. It is very well done. I dont have an idea how he created that moving effect. Its very cool and soothing.

Havn't seen the file in question, but things moving in logo.sys is created be cycling through the color palette. There were several programs around, which could create logo.sys with such effects quite easily, but there were also tutorials around that explained how exactly one would have to construct the image.
