DirMove - Failed to move directory [%BaseDir%\acronis extract\temp\TrueImageEchoWorkstation] to: [%BaseDir%\Target\VistaPE-Core\Program Files]

anything i put in the c:\temp field will not work. can someone please shed some light on this. thanks

edit: using wb 76 w/ combo box and runtime file/vista pe patch

this is using the 75 beta 4 WB..

i am using 75 beta 6 now..

I would like to make these work in future wb builds as well... its a serous pain to have to recreate the script on each new version of WB..

I am using the VistaPE 11 Project and WinBuilder 075 B6 or 076 isn't working with VistaPE 11 !

just downloaded ..I will Try, what WB do you suggest to use? 0.74 or o.76?

WinBuilder 075 B4 is working with the VistaPE 11 !

testing, i get this error..

DirMove - Failed to move directory [C:\Temp\TrueImageEchoWorkstation] to: [C:\vpe75b6\Programs]

this happened after the lil box pops up about Windows ® Installer. V 3.01.4000.1823
msiexec /Option <Required Parameter> [Optional Parameter],

I choose ok then the error.

Can we stop this box from coming up??? and just let it move the files or whatever WB needs to do?

i extracted the files but not sure why we have a temp dir?

This problem is interesting, I'm using the Windows Xp operation system, VistaPE 11 and WinBuilder 075 B4 but I have not encountered such a problem.

%pFileBox1% = C:\AcronisTrueImageWorkstation.msi

msiexec.exe /a C:\AcronisTrueImageWorkstation.msi /qb TARGETDIR=C:\Temp

that is to say :

if you are using Windows Vista, please run WinBuilder with "Run as administrator" the command. Maybe the problem is therefore that

Guys ! Please, use the VistaPE 11 because, yet the VistaPE 12 is beta !

I tried the script but not such a problem.

About 8206 Simple

I have been running 8163 and just updated my Acronis True Image Workstation to 8206
and noticed nothing new about the Programs\Acronis\BartPE file.

In fact, after build, True Image help\about says 8163

I don’t think the upgrade to 8206 upgraded the BartPE folder

I tested this script and it built without errors.

I now have errors,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, EDITED

I tested the 9.7 simple script. WinBuilder successful create the VistaPE. I verify that the executable is in the "F:\Programs\TrueImageEchoWorkstation\TrueImgae.exe" path.

This script isn't support VistaPE 12 RC1 but you can use the "BartPE Lite Setup Mode" feature of Setup Mode option for the script !

For those who are installing the Combo_Box script, make sure you in the option to select "Explorer, BS Explorer, or LiteStep" matches the same in the main configuration which is defaulted to "BS Explorer". That's mean you need to select "BS Explorer" as the option and also change the Protection Code. THe Protection Code is the password to login. You can uncheck for no password. It took me a day to figure this out since I'm new to VistaPE.

Max_Real Qnx, maybe you set the default to "BS Explorer" since it the default to BS Explorer" in main configuration of VistaPE. Right now your script is default to "Explorer". If matich, it said "Please enable Explorer Vista Script."

wrong :

please, inform mistakes because after a few days, I'll add this scripts to my site.

Please, chose "BsExplorer" option of the VpeLogon section in the xVPE CoMBo_Box script.

2)

Bs Explorer is alternative simple shell but it is very useful.

while in the original BartPE plugin (or at the full version) these data are '1'

same error as before.. the switch/options page comes up and then i choose ok
then it unmounts .wim

say error failed to move to whatever i put in temp area?

would like to stop the options/switch page from coming up

also i see, BartPE in this script - i do not use Bartpe plugins... so i'm not sure if its looking for something or not

Which operation system are you using (Vista, Xp. 32 or 64 Bit)
Do you have administrator rights on the your operation system ?
Even if you have administrator rights, you must run WinBuilder with the "Run as administrator" command in the Vista.

Which VistaPE and WinBuilder are you using ?

Do you have the (AcronisTrueImageWorkstation.msi and AcronisTrueImageAgentWorkstation.msi) files extracted from TrueImageWorkstationEcho_s_en.exe with the Kgb archiver to "C:\" ?




and

Do you have the (AcronisTrueImageUniversalRestoreWorkstation.msi) file extracted from TrueImageWorkstationEchoUniversalRestore_s_en.exe with the Kgb archiver to "C:\" ?

I have done as asked, i move all files to the root of c:\

I turned off all anti-virus and sec tools!
disconnected from Ineternet as well....



This did a complete build, loaded VPE up in VMware workstation 6.5 and THEN;;;
double clicked the desktop Icon

i get a Runtime Error, stating D:\Programs\TrueImageEchoWorkstation\TrueImage.exe
this applications has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusal way.
