Hello.

Can you please tell me how to implement a printer connection in Windows PE based on Windows 8?

Printer drivers are integrated into the wim build. Spooler service has started.

devcon find usb * sees the printer. But does not want to print.

How is it possible to install a printer?

Thanks in advance to all.

AFAIK/AFAICR printer support in a PE is a bit "shaky" (to say the least), I believe it depends a lot on the specific printer and on the specific drivers that are *needed*, some printers have (stupid) drivers that are larger than a minimal PE :w00t: and that - obviously - require every subsystem known to man and even a few unknown ones.

Check the projects mentioned here:

http://reboot.pro/to...nting/?p=182502

You can try making one of them and if your printer works in it, then use the same settings/files for your own build, the first ones are more of a "full OS" in a portable version, but the last one is a PE, see also:
