Hi everyone.
I've began transferring my personal site to new server, while the respective DNS doesn't get updated I won't receive any messages sent to mail@nunobrito.eu nor visitors will be able to view the site.
This is the first step to learn and prepare the way to transfer boot-land.net and winbuilder.net to the new location.
nunobrito.eu is somewhat simpler to move around as it doesn't come with any subdomains attached. After this operation we'll move onto winbuilder.net once things get working well and finally boot-land.net.
In the meanwhile, for those in need to contact me directly, I'm always available at nunobrito.azores@gmail.com
These last few days have been quite crazy but I hope we can soon get everything back to normal.

Hope so too! Hopefully, we have some back up of the things being moved to the other server. Just incase things go wrong.

I'm not erasing anything from the old server.Hopefully, we have some back up of the things being moved to the other server. Just incase things go wrong.
After things are working well, I'll try to schedule an automated update from the new server to the old server on daily basis to ensure we don't get any nasty "panda" like surprises.
--------------
DNS transfer was made and took around 24 hours to refresh with the new values, the site is now being accessed on the new server.
I'm moving all files from the old location to the new place and will see if anything is necessary to be fixed.
The email service is back online and working as expected too, a ping shows that nunobrito.eu is faster to be acessed than winbuilder.net which means an expected increase of site performance.
If all goes well, will start moving winbuilder.net right away after doing some experiments with subdomains to see how they go.

Transfer was complete, the main page wasn't showing up and I thought it was something related to php but it turned out to be related to the e107 cache system (took 4 hours to find this out.. )
It's complete, now I'll be getting my hands on winbuilder.net

Hmm.. more DNS woes I guess.
I was feeling it was strange to receive so few messages but now you've confirmed that my email is still not operational.
Every morning it takes about half an hour to read and reply back to my mail box and today I had only 3 messages to read.
-------
Will get my hands on it, for the moment I suspect that I need to remove any MX entries on the DNS site and let the dedicated server redirect them all, not sure if it will work but will try.
btw: don't worry about spam bots harvesting my email address, I'm a fast reader and one of my homework tasks is keeping up to date with the improvements on their spam techniques to see and understand in detail whichever tricks are being employed to deceive people. This is later used to improve the defense of the other machines in the LAN by restricting certain messages with attachments or specific keywords from being received.
