Passmark have offered an OSForensics Beta which is available free until around July 2011.
OSForensics runs inside the OS though, so I am not sure it really could be called a Forensic app :whistling:

They also have a few USB tools which are free in their tools section.

OSFMount - mounts dd images in Windows (could also mount images made with RMPrepUSB?)
OSFClone - self-booting OS cloning tool (a fancy form of dd?)
ImageUSB - writes the same img file to multiple USB devices all at the same time (for 'gang' production of USB drives).

see here.

Hmmm. :whistling:

The OFSMOUNT interface is a lot similar to the IMDISK one.

I like coincidences. ;)

The usage of the term "block" (instead of "sector") is however IMHO a "queer" coincidence.

From the License Agreement when installing:

This software contains some GNU GPL licensed code:
- Parts related to floppy emulation based on VFD by Ken Kato.

it looks A LOT like IMDISK repackaged. (with a few more "formats" added to it).
