Hello,

I'm getting this issue on a new HP laptop ( Zbook15 ) that came with an on-chip integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600 plus the discrete nVidia Quadro K1100M.
When the CPU-Integrated graphic card is enabled ( by default in BIOS settings ) I can't boot with the Win7PE bootkey I've prepared, and, if it starts, soon it become unusable. Seems like the integrated graphic card overwrites the boot env RamDisk space.

Not to say, if I disable the integrated graphic, the key works like a charm.

Someone else got the same issue?
Some ideas and solutions?

thanks in advance.

Hi Vipex!

Maybe your video card is much newer than the version of drivers added by the script. Or maybe is a bug, and has already been corrected, but with the new version of the drivers.

Another optios is a bug in the bios. Do you know if there is a new BIOS version?

Have you tried to disable the UEFI boot?

Are you tried booting your USB flash drive into a USB 2.0 port also?

Edited....

Equally Intel Graphic's, has changed a lot, you need the new driver. The driver included in Windows 7 is very old, there wasn't even the second generation Intel graphics when Windows 7 came out.

Have you tried the sript Driver Package Installer?

Updating the BIOS to the last version is slightly better, I think because it shrinks the IGP memory to 128MB, but the issue is still there.
I've tried from all the ports USB2/3, CDs... all the same if used as in-memory runtime.

Tried also to add Intel drivers and nothing changes.

In my last tests I've tried with win8 based and seems to work better, so I think could be the W7 memory management messing up.
So I think I'll try to upgrade the whole thing, also it will take long time to restore all the configurations...  :logik:

If you build your Win7PE without Display Drivers. Boot it and then install Intel's Vga Driver (without restart), all works ok?

Unfortunately there's no way to do that, WHEN it starts, it lasts very few moments, also opening a command window is problematic.

Tell us about the version of Win7PE, and the Windows 7 ISO source, its version and language.

Win7PE I've tried also doing it from scratch downloading the last one and updating with last scripts.
Source iso is a Win7 Enterprise SP1 English.

When I started to try Win7PE_SE, I used as source a modified iso of Windows 7, I could choose from all versions of Windows 7 when do an installation. This modified iso was responsible for several failures when creating the compilation and also when running it.

Now I use a Win7 SP1 Ultimate x86 Spanish ISO as source.

You have downloaded the iso from an official site (Digital River)?

Another cause of many errors, is the RAM memory. If you have some free time, run MemTest, to know if that is the real problem.
