HI All,
I am a newbie and I need help. I stumbled on this site by chance and I believe it has great potentials. I have been charged with creating a WinPE boot disc that will work for Windows XP and Windows 7 both 32 and 64bit. I have been able to create a boot disc for windows 7 but using BartPE for windows xp. I believe REBOOT multiPE should be able to narrow this down to one boot disc for both.
But I don't know how to do it or where to begin. Is anyone available to help by giving a step by step instruction on how to do this? thank you for your help and great work guys.

why do you need a PE with XP and Win7 as source? But there is afair no project that combines both XP and Win7. You can create these 2 PEs and put them together on an usb stick or CD/DVD
SARDU is such a project that can combine the PEs (http://reboot.pro/9930/), another one I think is AERO (http://reboot.pro/forum/72/)
to make this clear: with multiPE you can create a PE with XP as source and a PE with Win7 as source, but not in one step.

To add to what patsch said, there are also may projects here that will help you assemble a single USB that has on it images that can be used on any/all of the systems you mention. The multiPE project has some tools in the PEFactory, and as mentioned, there are tools like Xboot and Sardu. Also, go look at all the info on the RMPrepUSB.com site!

Do you mean to "install" Windows XP and Windows 7 both 32 and 64bit?.... a WinPE boot disc that will work for Windows XP and Windows 7 both 32 and 64bit....
If yes then you could try a 32 bit WinPE 3.x (Windows 7 based) and use a tool like:
http://www.msfn.org/...winntsetup-v21/
it should be pretty much "universal".
