my menu.list

color white/black yellow/green white/green white/green
timeout 120
default /default
title reboot
	reboot
chainloader (0xff)
title grav
	pxe
	map --mem (pd)/ipxe_grav.iso (0xff)
	map --hook
chainloader (0xff)

Notebook Lenovo B580 with pxe 2.1
When I press "grav" menu entry, boot is stopping with no errors. This iso image is successfully booting in other notebook.

Try using command line (i.e. press c to get to the grub> command prompt and type the commands one at the time and post the feedback you get at each line).

pxe

[ENTER]

map --mem (pd)/ipxe_grav.iso (0xff)

[ENTER]

map --hook

[ENTER]

chainloader (0xff)

[ENTER]

On command line you will need to add a:

boot

final command (which is "implied" when using a menu.lst entry).

Thank you for answer.

After entering

map --hook

grub is freezing, nothing to do, keyboard does not respond. Only poweroff by button. :(

I downloaded older version of grub (grub4dos-0.4.4-2008-07-21), and it solved my problem.

I downloaded older version of grub (grub4dos-0.4.4-2008-07-21), and it solved my problem.

That one is severely obsolete (while it may work for the specific task, it may contain every possible other bug and even one more).

You should try to use at least last 0.4.4-2009-10-16 (last "stable" 0.4.4 version):

On second thought, try also with "pxe keep":
