Could you detail the solution ?
Did you mean using memdisk from isolinux/syslinux in combination with Grub4dos like:

menu.lst:
kernel /images/memdisk
initrd /images/gold.ima

Yes,
also remember that memdisk is gzip/zip compatible so that you can compress the image as gold.imz (Winimage "standard") or gold.ima.gz or gold.zip and it will boot OK taking a lot less space.

damm

now i have another dos tool i cant boot, because of the same xms problem!!

when i try to boot of this command:

map --mem /grub/imagens/hdmgold.ima (fd0)
map --hook
chainloader (fd0)+1
rootnoverify (fd0)
boot

i get the xms driver problem, and if i try to boot with:

kernel /grub/memdisk
initrd /grub/imagens/hdmgold.IMA

it just says: loading boot sector... booting...

does anyone can help me?

is there a dedicated forum on grub4dos?
