Hello

 

i have a windows 7 enterprise x86 iso with size 2.26 GB

 

and a windows 8.1 enterprise x64 custom iso with size 5.2 GB

 

and a flash memory with size 32gb

 

how can i create bootable usb with those 2 windows ?

 

my flash must ntfs ?

 

i give error when windows start installing ! about driver not found etc...

Try Easy2Boot. Check that your flash drive is a 'Removable' drive.

i copied 2 iso to windows folder

 

1- windows 8.1 x86 original iso ( works and Installed successfully )

2- windows 8.1 x64 custom iso ( does not work )

 

why ?

Probably because it is 'custom' - did you get the blue console window? I suspect not? What problem did you get?

This custom iso installed successfully without  easy2boot . with yumy works well too

 

at start i prompt to am i repair / recover windows  ? i select N and that i goto windows selections windows

 

after i click enter on index 1 i will get error

Did you select the correct product key? It must match the version you have.

I select no key for windows 8.1 x86 untouched because that need no key and installation works well

 

and select no key for windows 8.1 x64 touched because that need no key ( because i installed that in other environment and works well)

It depends on the version of Win8 you have - some need a key due to the use of an AutoUnattend.xml file by Easy2Boot.

For instance the 90-day Enterprise Evaluation Win8.1 x64 ISO does not need a key when running from a DVD or flat file install, but in Easy2Boot you need to select the correct key.

 

Please try selecting the correct key - there is a list of keys in E2B, just choose the correct one or add your own key by making a .key file in the Win8 folder.

test all keys related to windows 8.1 enterprise

 

all keys will result to :

 

No images are available and then Next button is disabled

 

except one key : 26 : Windows 8.1 Enterprise KMS

 

this lead me to the result that i mentioned above :

If you have the same ISO installed already - run Product Key finder in Windows and get the Product Key, then create a .key text file for that key and try it.

1- i used nirsoft product key finder to find key in installed windows using that custom iso

 

this is the key :

MHF9N-XY6XB-WVXMC-BTDCT-MKKG7

 

2- i used kmspico 9.1.3 to activate windows , is that changed the serial or no ?

 

i will test your new method and feedback asap

is imagex /info on my custom install.wim will help you for finding my problem ?

 

 

the command that i used to create my custom wim file :

 

imagex /capture C: d:\images\installcaptured.wim "Windows 8.1 x64"

Setup will look for an install.wim in the \sources folder. Also it will expect it to be a certain index number (not sure if 1 or 2 but it should be the same as a normal install.wim from an MS Setup ISO.) You may also need to add a description (unsure??).

You may also need to flag it with the SKU type  (flags /"Edition ID") - see http://technet.micro...7(v=ws.10).aspx  but I am not sure if this is needed in Win8 (it was in WIn7).

 

It may be better to use Dism /Capture-Image http://technet.micro...y/hh825258.aspx

You  can see it has a FLAGS section, so I would try making your wim file using the /flags "Enterprise" switch and maybe a description too???

When you create a custom .wim file, you must include a name and a description, and you must specify the edition by using the /flags option. All values are required by Windows Setup. If a .wim file does not include these values, then the image will not install properly.

now solved with :

 

imagex /flags "Enterprise" /info F:my.wim 1 "Windows 8.1 x64" "Windows 8.1 Enterprise x64"

now after i adding my custom wim to windows 8.1 x86 wim it asked me serial during install

i delete ci.cfg from 8.1 x86 sources too

why ?

how can i add serial to iso or wim ?
