OK...what "crap" did you do and how did you do it? Are you booting of a REAL DVD (external via USB), or a flash drive? When you boot the installation media, does it even run at all? Are you able to format it inside the installer? in other words - more details would be helpful...

i did all, booted win 7 from usb stick and from usb dvd drive, both go into setup but dont showe the drive, funny thing is
even linux shows it and will install to it, but it wont boot after installation...just blinking cursor...
another funny this is, if i boot win 7 from usb or dvd, i can goto repair
and then command prompt and use disk part and it seas it, and when i click load driver with the little explorer repair has it even shows it as a drive, but not in the avilable choices
now, i was able to install win 7 on external hard drive, but its to bulky to carry around with it, thats why i bought this
kingston 32 gig ssd , does this help?

Well, yes and no - it helps rule out some of the obvious things (but you have to ask, since even the best of us can sometimes forget simple things to try). Shouldn't be a funny driver issue (for windows), since it should just be a 'sata' type interface to the SSD drive?

Any chance to try to install windows to that drive on a different computer? ? ? Could just be a BAD disk ??? But if it shows up correctly in BIOS, can't understand why it isn't showing up (for install of windows - or for booting Linux)...

Out of other ideas at the moment, but give a separate computer a try, and if that works, try to transplant it back to the Dell.

Good Luck
;)
