Thanks a lot siw2 for your interest. it will not be choice mandatory for this script as like other the addons scripts. I created the infrastructure of the project. I could not start compiling the 64-bit wim files fo the new project. I need to do tests for the Windows ADK. Unfortunately, I don't have too much free time. And the microsoft will publish windows 8 rc1 version of the first week of June. So I need to concentrate on my work very well this weekend. I wish I had more than enough time.

Hello Max, I was wondering if you would care to share how you were able to get explorer to run. So far I can get the taskbar to show up but it is blank. Running programs will not appear there. The desktop is the same way. I can right click on the desktop but no icons or shorcuts will show up there.

I should have mentioned that I was referring to explorer in the windows 8 version of PE. I wrongly assumed that would be implied from the win8pe forum. But of course your project covers multiple versions of WinPE.

I am attempting to make my own PE project but I am missing something in my explorer script.
I am just not copying the correct files and/or registry keys to get it to work. So I was just wondering what extra work had to be done to get explorer working in your project so that I might be able to get it running in mine.

That was enough to get it working in WinPE 3 but doesn't do it in WinPE 4.

As you can see the applications that are running do not show on the taskbar.
I am not finding any more missing files while watching procmon so tracking down what I am missing is difficult.
I know you have not released your project using WinPE 4 yet, but I was hoping you might be willing to share the contents of your explorer script.

Sound is working fine for me.

I only have wired connection - but wireless looks like it should work in my build v2.

Good news Max, I am looking forward to seeing what you have achieved.

 

I have it working fine. 8.1 rtm x64. Using SIB, the taskbar does nothing, however everything else works.Supports x86 most programs that need nf2 , wired and wiereless, explorer and control panel all ok. Just tested to see the recovery works - yes it does - successful refresh just completed. Last thing I need to put in is sound.

 

It is very big though. About 460mb.

I'm currently working on editing the multipe loader. I'm dealing with a few adjustments required on the Win8PE (driver and logon etc.) .

Also the Windows 8.2 may be published in March. If the project publication date is delayed two months; I'll distribute it as a beta. Sorry for the delay. Kind regards
