Hai everybody.

Just want to ask something.

Can I run WinBuilder in Linux environment?
Is there any conflict or uncompatible between WinBuilder and Linux?

LinuxBuilder? anyone got any idea about this. :D

short answer is this is highly dependent on the whole code base and third party libraries, so not likely to ever be a native linux program. You could always try something like WINE, but I wouldn't hold my breath...after all, since the whole purpose is to build a Windows PE, not sure this makes any sense at all...

Hello,

WinBuilder can run under Linux and Mac OSX when using WINE. I have tried this myself.

The main problem are the registry hives. At the moment, WINE does not create NT compatible registry hives that are essential for boot disk projects to succeed. The next generation of WinBuilder is built upon Java technology to run under OS's where Java is supported and should hopefully feature native NT registry manipulation.
