Well good news... It does work... well i think it does... It starts to install but cant find the path.. I think i know what needs to be done but not sure how to do it..

I have this command on my cd to detect the correct CD and install the correct apps (I have a blank cd.txt on the root on the CD

FOR %%i IN (D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z) DO IF EXIST %%i:\CD.txt SET CDROM=%%i:

Is there a way to do this inside windows? Or does the USB drive get mounted always as U: even if it is a Sata / IDE?

EDIT: This does work... I forgot to add the cd.txt and the install folder to my drive.. However when it installs the apps it now asks if i want to run the file... It does not do this when running from CD. Does anyone know how to turn this off?

Ok well i ran into my first real problem.. I am trying to install from usb thumb drive to a Acer Aspire One. At first boot it sees the thumb drive as the C: drive. I removed the current partitions on the HDD and then rebooted. It now sees the flash disk as D:. Ok so after i start the install when it reboots the first time after copying files to the HDD, it fails and says can't find the location of D:\ .... for the requested files.

In ScreenShot 14 you can click Yes so that your USB-stick will get Boot DrivLetter U:
by making migrate.inf file specific for your USB-stick

Direct after Deleting and Creating New partitions, Quit XP Setup with F3
OR Switch OFF your Computer and Boot in any case from USB-Drive again and
Run 1. TXT Mode Setup again so that DriveLetters get their Correct Value
So in this case one Boots ** TWICE ** in the TXT-mode Setup

This means that directly After you Create the New Partition,
you have to Reboot.

Normally you should NOT Delete Partitions,
but just Select the Install Partition when this has the correct DriveLetter C:
and then Select Quick Format with NTFS FileSystem.

If you follow these rules then everything will work.
