The intention is to place it on the front-page of the Winbuilder Interface for pe21:

If selected, it will download from your URL, saved to a Winbuilder folder, unzipped to the pe21 - either root of ISO folder to run from CD, or 'Program Files' to be packed into boot.wim and run from RAM, with a shortcut to 'WallCmd /r'. So, it's not really configurable... just for us lazy 'so-and-so's... :lol: ... Ill try and get it to run from startup... 'a fesh wallpaper on every boot'... just like the sign says... :thumbup:

The download will happen only once per system, unless the .zip is deleted after which a new download will occur - maybe for the next download, a whole new set of wallpapers if you change them in the .zip file...

I hope that's all OK with you... hundreds of pe21 users all with the wallpapers you have chosen! ... :thumbup: ...

Thanks again.

Don't get too excited... 'hundreds of pe21 users' may have been an exaggeration. There is no counter... I know of three users ATM, including myself... :lol:

And my mother told me not to talk to strangers on the internet. ... :thumbup: ...

I have you set up as my first (and only) contact in Messenger, but it always says you are offline. I'll give you a bell... if I can think of anything needed to say in private. Otherwise, I prefer open discussion here on the forums.

pe21 needs a fair bit of work to get a new version out with links to URLs, etc... trying to concentrate on that, but I like the distraction of working with you. What's next?

Regards :thumbup:

Welll... the random wallcmd is working beautifully in my project... except for your selection of wallpapers... no offence... (... :lol: ...)... they're great!

The emergeDesktop bars I use are transparent with black writing, and run along the top of the desktop. Some of the wallpapers in the download are too dark at the top - especially left-hand top corner where there is a date/time bar. Many are OK, and it's easy enough to randomly flip through them..

If you have time to update the selection of wallpapers in the .zip, let me know.

Thanks :thumbup:

Hey damian666! I know it's been a while...

I have always used the original wall-cmd.zip when I build my Projects. The Projects do not re-download if the file exists in the local 'pe2ArchiveDir'.

Today, I was testing and downloaded my first fresh version. The original .zip contained the folder 'Wall-Cmd'. Now, I have discovered that the .zip from your web-site contains only the files without the folder. So, the Projects don't execute wallcmd.exe, nor create the right shortcuts at startup.

Should I amend the scripts for my project? Or, can you do a new wall-cmd.zip with the folder included, and, maybe, some new wallpaper? ... :poke: ...

BTW, I can't get the wallpaper to display in Win7's PE (Windows PE 3.0). They must have broken something ... :poke: ..

Regards

Does it handle multiple screens?

@Wendy,
I hope you're not asking me a technical question... um...
Is there a difference between WinPE2.1 (Vista SP1) and WinPE3.0 (Win7 beta), in terms of multi-monitor handling; and this affects the wallpaper? Is that what you're asking?

@damian666,
I think there's been a mix up. Things are a bit confused here ATM.... :poke:

My Projects are scripted to download from:
http://damian666.boo...ds/Wall-Cmd.zip
Is that the link for the PE version with the randomizer? The old wallcmd.exe that I have seems to be the only one that works (except in WinPE3.0).

Regards
