I have read and read and have completely become confused. I have been trying to follow many different posts as to how to boot LiveXP from a USB drive and am totally confused. I am using Winbuilder 77 RC2 and have downloaded about everything I have came across and tried it. Anyway, I have completed creating a iso that boots to qEmu. I dont fully understand the options in the create iso script options. Create ISO in ISO can anyone explain this option? Once I create a ISO in ISO which I believe I have completed. How do I use this to creat a bootable USB? I also have tried the BootSDI script and do not understand what I do here with the script options? I tried to use the HDD USB process. When I try and format and process this option I get error not valid 32 program. Why are the tools in the tool folder MSDOS? All I want is to do is boot the USB the simpliest way possible. I have read that modified boot files are needed. Can someone explain in detail the options on the BootSDI and Create ISO scripts? Any help would be appreciated

for bootsdi , u need to have setupldr.bin , ntdetect.com. ramdisk.sys from 2k3 sp1 source.

it is preferred method to boot pe from usd drive .

the successful build will create " livexp_ram.iso " file inside " iso " directory . if it boots from qemu alright , then use the following to load it from usb ,

" after u ll make ur usb bootable by following the method in the link below , go to usb root , and make a file " menu.lst " there with the following contents "

default	   1

timeout	 10

title live pe

map /livexp.iso (0xff) ll map --mem /livexp.iso (0xff)

map --hook

chainloader (0xff)

title boot 1st hdd

checkrange 0x80 read 0x8280 && map (hd1) (hd0)

checkrange 0x80 read 0x8280 && map --hook

chainloader (hd0)+1

read post# 2 for making ur usb bootable ( i suppose u use xp ,2k3 )

Thanks It worked! I now can boot my project with USB. One thing to note is that you either have to change livexp_ram.iso name to livexp.iso or change the menu to

"map /livexp_ram.iso (0xff) ll map --mem /livexp_ram.iso (0xff)
